Description

I am a versatile Art Department professional and Scenic Artist based in Bristol, with a background in technical production for High-End TV, stop-motion, and immersive experiences. My experience spans the full creative process, from technical set dressing and prop making to scenic painting and camera support.

I have a proven track record of delivering high-quality visual work for industry leaders, including Aardman Animations (Stop-Motion Art Dept), Wake The Tiger (Scenic Painting & Set Dressing), and Films@59 (Camera & Art Dept support). My work at Knowle West Media Centre as a Trainee Camera Operator has given me a unique understanding of how art department choices translate through the lens, ensuring technical precision on every set.

Core Skills & Roles:

Junior Scenic Artist: Specialist in textures, aging, and faux-finishes.

Junior Set Dresser & Prop Maker: Experience in detailed fabrication and on-set dressing.

Art Department & Production Assistant: Skilled in logistics, creative problem-solving, and supporting fast-paced crews.

Technical Logistics: Fully licensed B1 Counterbalance Forklift Operator (up to 5000KG), providing essential support for construction and heavy art department workflows.

I am a proactive, hands-on creative looking to expand my portfolio within HETV and Film Art Departments. I am currently based in Bristol but am fully prepared to work as a local in the West Midlands and surrounding areas.

Special Interests

My passion lies in the "world-building" aspect of production—the moment a conceptual idea is physically manifested into a tangible scene. I am deeply motivated by the collaborative nature of the Art Department and the challenge of using physical materials to tell a story or evoke a specific atmosphere.

While my long-term goal is to transition into Production Design—where I can imagine and oversee every visual element of a scene from start to finish—my current focus is on mastering the craft from the ground up. I am eager to take on roles that allow me to sharpen my technical skills in scenic art, construction, and set decoration.

Beyond the workshop, I have a strong interest in the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and modern production techniques. I thrive in environments that require adaptability and quick thinking, and I am committed to learning from the best in the industry to help bring complex, imaginative visions to life.
