Description

As a graduate of MA Documentary Production for TV, Film, and Digital Media, I bring a passion for unscripted TV development and a background rooted in storytelling, research, and production. I’ve had the opportunity to pitch formats to major broadcasters like Channel 4.0 and Workerbee, where I developed skills in creating compelling formats and responding to industry feedback. My experiences at Salamanda Media and Purple Productions have sharpened my research abilities, allowing me to identify trends and talent that enrich development projects.

On-set production work has enhanced my understanding of the full content creation cycle. I’ve worked as a logger on the Waterloo Road set, a production assistant on the BFI-funded For God’s Sake, and a crew member for Sheffield DocFest, giving me practical exposure to the fast-paced environment of TV production. My technical skills include proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, Canva, and PowerPoint, alongside hands-on experience with cameras like the Sony FX9 and BMPCC6K Pro.

Fluent in English and Portuguese, with intermediate Spanish, I am comfortable working across international markets and adapting to different storytelling styles. I’m dedicated to creating authentic, impactful stories that resonate with audiences, whether through development or production roles.

Special Interests

Factual entertainment is my true passion because of its ability to capture real stories that educate and inspire while engaging audiences. I’m particularly interested in unscripted development as it allows me to transform real-world events into engaging formats. My work during The Network 2024, including a discussion on class issues in TV, reinforced my belief in using factual content to address social dynamics and complex issues.

I’m fascinated by talent-led formats and reality TV’s ability to showcase authentic human experiences. Pitching a talent-led dating show to Channel 4.0 was a pivotal moment, helping me understand the balance between creativity and audience appeal. Diversity in content creation is essential to me, and I’m committed to developing formats that are inclusive and representative of different voices.

Documentary storytelling is at the heart of my work, and I have a particular interest in exploring themes like family, memory, and identity. I believe unscripted development offers the opportunity to shine a light on these stories while creating content that resonates on a personal and universal level.
