My responsibilities were assisting the crew with setting up various equipment and catering to the needs of the director and other staff members.Reference: Joe Dyer (07860 292 895)EDUCATION:Istituto Cine-TV Roberto Rossellini, Professional diploma (2022): 83/100I have studied the crafts of Cinema and TV production in Rome at the Institute “Cine-TV Roberto Rossellini”, founded by one of the major avant-garde creators of Italian neorealist cinema. There I specialised and attained a professional diploma to be a camera operator. During the course we were all taught how to operate together in three main groups consisting of camera operators, gaffers, directors and the other roles in charge of broadcasting from the control room. Alongside our camera and lighting training, we covered the basics of being a boom operator as a crew needs to work in unison and be knowledgeable of each other’s role to avoid obstructing one another’s work.
My passion for cinema started when I was child living in central and south America. There my parents ran a travelling cinema show, projecting movies onto a screen inbuilt into the side of a van. Being raised with movies showed me how influential cinema is on society and how a generation’s morals and values can be understood through the story telling of the silver screen. This life experience also made me a very keen traveller. I am not dissuaded by distances and can organise myself accordingly. Last summer I solo backpacked through Canada and self procured myself with all the necessary accommodation and travel.I am currently looking for work to increase my knowledge and for the opportunity to progress my journey in a field I have a passion for. I am hard working and astute and can also think outside of the box when needs must. I learn quickly and am eager to learn.
