I'm a former Primary School Teacher who has been working in television since April 2019. Therefore, I have an array of skills and experience which I bring to each position I encounter- I'm eager to learn, personable and professional. Since April, I have gained a good amount of experience as aRunner, Crowd PA, Production Secretary, Production Assistant on a few different drama productions and non-scripted TV. The most amount of experience I gained was as a Crowd PA on the production 'Cursed' (3-4 Months continuous). Here I gained lots of experience and built upon my knowledge of the industry- in particular, I exercised planning, organisation, crowd/time management skills. These experiences have allowed me to understand my strengths and previous experience to become an effective, adaptable and valued member of a production team. It is a prerequisite, as a teacher, to have a strong academic foundation, excellent communication skills and the ability to be accountable for many students welfare/education. As an Outstanding teacher, I also developed to be efficient with organisation/planning, diary management (whilst managing the day to day running of a busy classroom), data creation/analysis and the general use of IT. Because of my continued dedication and development in the role, I eventually helped to support Newly Qualified Teachers. This gave me a good insight into leadership and management. Since working predominantly in drama productions as a runner or crowd PA, I would now like the opportunity to gain more experience in unscripted/documentary as this is where I'm most passionate - I believe I would thrive and develop into being a valuable asset. It would be a fantastic opportunity to challenge myself with various responsibilities and functions, I'm used to juggling many jobs at once, multitasking and being adaptable to tackle any tasks which I encounter. I believe this is where my skill-set lies and aspire to advance into being a production co-coordinator.
