Robbie began making shorts at a young age before joining the ranks of the camera department in a traditional manner. Working and learning for over six years on feature films gave him the required training and knowledge whilst assisting cinematographers such as John Mathieson, Philippe Rousselot and Danny Cohen. Robbie has also been the recipient of mentorships with cinematographers Angus Hudson (Last Passenger) and with Haris Zambarloukos BSC (Thor).
