I am a Bath-based Costume Supervisor, Assistant Costume Designer and Milliner with over 20 years’ experience in film and television across the UK, US and Eastern Europe. My work spans feature films, high-end television, limited series and studio productions, with experience across period, contemporary, sci-fi, fantasy, western, military and character-led drama.
Projects I have contributed to have received Academy Award, BAFTA, Primetime Emmy, People’s Choice and Costume Designers Guild recognition. Having worked across the UK, US and Eastern Europe, I am confident collaborating with international crews and adapting to different production cultures. I bring clear communication, practical problem-solving and respect for department structure to every project.
My experience includes supervising costume departments, assisting designers, managing principal and crowd fittings, coordinating rental houses and made-to-order costumes, script breakdowns, budgeting, asset tracking, sourcing, shopping and returns. I am confident working with SynconSet, Excel and Numbers, and bring practical skills in sewing, millinery, alterations, textile work, historical research and on-set costume problem-solving.
I relocated to the UK on a Talent Visa, inspired by the long-standing excellence of British film and television production. I am interested in ambitious, collaborative productions where costume supports story, character and world-building. My working style is calm, organised and team-focused, with a strong respect for preparation, communication and the demands of production. I value clear systems, a positive department culture and helping realise the filmmaker’s vision on screen.
Special Interests
My special interests within costume include period and historically informed work, millinery, textile detail, ageing and breakdown, and practical costume problem-solving for camera, performance and continuity. I am particularly drawn to projects where costume supports character, social world, class, occupation, history or imagined environments.
I have a strong interest in research-led costume work, including military, western, mid-century, fantasy, sci-fi and character-based design. I enjoy translating research into practical costume choices through silhouette, fabric, construction, accessories, hats, distressing, multiples and the small details that help support an actor’s performance.
I am especially interested in the organisation and logistics of costume departments, and in how specialist makers and craftspeople can be brought together to realise complex costume ideas. On large-scale productions, I enjoy liaising between the different areas of a department — such as leather work, moulding, sewing, textile treatment, silk screening, vinyl heat press, fittings, alterations and set — to help bring highly specific costumes to life. I value the process of coordinating these specialist “micro-departments” so that design intent, construction, practicality, continuity and filming needs all meet in the finished costume.
I also enjoy building teams and creating the infrastructure that allows a costume department to function well: hiring the right people, setting up systems, clarifying workflow, supporting communication between design, production, workshop and set, and helping create a calm, efficient working environment. As a milliner, I have a particular interest in hats and headwear for period, fantasy and character work, and in how those details contribute to world-building and storytelling.
