Evan Dawson is an aspiring British film director and assistant director based in Lincoln and London, with experience across directing, assistant directing and production. My passion for filmmaking started early, creating my own animated web series featuring professional voice actors at the age of 13, sparking my interest in storytelling and production.Since then, I have directed multiple short films, including a project produced is association with the BFI academy, which premiered at the Broadway Cinema in Nottingham. I have also worked on AD teams on professional productions including Merry Christmas Aubrey Flint, directed by Jack Spring and produced by Andy Brunskill, starring John Bradley, Richard E. Grant, Celia Imrie and Karl Pilkington.Additionally, I was part of the AD team for the short film Seat of Remembrance, which starred Ashley Walters, Nathalie Emmanuel, Emmet J. Scanlan, and Leo Gregory.In 2025, I undertook a placement with the British Film Institute at BFI Southbank, working as a Production Assistant and Second Camera Operator, gaining hands-on experience in professional production environment.Alongside filmmaking, I run a YouTube channel focused on building and reviewing alterative LEGO brands, which has amassed over one million views across all platforms. I also work as a freelance social media creator for local businesses in Lincoln, producing video content and digital campaigns.
