My experience as a filming conservator involves having worked with Sony on various projects and also been involved with a Channel 4 production. I am able to undertake all aspects of the role to ensure historic buildings, interiors and collections are protected from damage. I can evaluate risk by identifying vulnerable areas and objects, and recommend appropriate workable precautions. I can oversee/ implement the relocation of objects, introduce coverings of walls, floors, doorways and staircases, and where necessary, protect items in situ. I provide on-site supervision to ensure that transit of equipment within the environs of a heritage building is done in a manner that does not sustain damage to the property. I produce documentation that records the condition of spaces prior to filming and can reinstate rooms to the same presentation post strike. I enjoy good repour with locations teams to ensure we have excellent communication, and that all operations are undertaken with appropriate respect offered to the historic site.
