I’ve been working as a freelance scenic artist for over two years, and before this I worked mainly dressing sets and events. My experience varies from scenic painting, prop painting and restoring, mural painting and sculpting, to set dressing and event styling.I’m motivated, reliable and passionate, and always keen to learn new skills and improve my existing skill sets. I believe I’m approachable and thrive in social environments, and great at interactingwith others. I am confident in my ability to adapt and be resourceful, and to work well under pressure. I bring a keen attention to detail to my work and am eager to bring my diverse skillset and creativity to every team I work with.
My passion for creating and styling sets and props is rooted in a drive to build immersive worlds and tell stories through environment. Whether it be festivals, murals, or theatre, I love being able to create work that draws viewers in and ensures the set itself contributes to the narrative. Over the past few years, I have translated this vision into professional technical skills. I am confident in the use of spray guns and aerosol techniques, as well as specialised scenic painting finishes like wood graining. I enjoy the challenge of taking a raw structure and breathing life into it.I also bring a high level of physical resilience to the Art Department. After overcoming health challenges a few years ago that left me hospitalised for a long time and then recovering for even longer, I took it upon myself to listen to my body and what it needs. From here I became very interested in strength training and holistic health. I now take advantage of any opportunity to move my body and love feeling as physically capable as the men in the industry. This journey has made me a high-energy crew member who genuinely enjoys the manual demands of a busy set.I am now eager to expand my skills within the UK film industry and am ready to contribute my voice and my strengths to the next generation of British film.
