My name's George, often nicknamed G (worked under the name George Stuart). I've been a huge film enthusiast since I was a kid, growing up with a tenacious curiosity to learn how things were made, from the camera and editing, to VFX and animation.I've delved into many creative fields in my life, but the one that gives me the most joy and pride is the one behind the camera. It's the single greatest way I've found to express how I feel and I spent a lot of my time playing around with my own gear both for fun and for research.
I have a keen passion for cinematography, from the technical aspects of cameras and lenses to the tonal character and storytelling power they hold. It's been a big part of my life since I was a child.Having had experience as a designer, my understanding for colour, composition and contrast have been invaluable in elevating my work over the years. This has also made me lean towards colour grading, not only because I find it extremely therepeutic and a fundamental part of what makes the vision of a shot come alive, but because building a deeper understanding of how colour is captured helps to more efficiently plan for a specific tone.
