My name is Luke and I’m a 23 year old filmmaker from South Africa who has now worked and lived in the UK since January 2025. I earned my BA in Motion Picture Medium - Screenwriting and Directing in 2023 and have a been working in the industry since 2021, producing my own short films as well as working in the commercial space, producing concert and event footage as well as producing corporate web series back in South Africa. I now freelance as a 1st AD and am open to learn and work as a 2nd or 3rd as well.
I specialise in film production and have a bachelors degree in motion picture production. I’ve worked as a freelance Assistant Director for the past year but I have also developed over five short films as screenwriter, director and producer. I thrive in high pressure environments and am proficient in regards to scheduling, communication and managing productions in a variety of different mediums such as film, tv, commercials and live broadcasting. I am adaptable and willing to constantly hone my skills as well as discover and learn new skills in a variety of departments. I have had a lifelong passion for filmmaking.
