Description

I am eager to experience as much of the TV industry as I can and learn as many skills as possible to be able to work on the practical side of filming. I am particularly interested in gaining more experience in the Locations Departments, and learning more about the Camera work.
In April this year I worked as Location Marshall on 'Hawksmoor”. I was employed and paid for a two-day shoot. This was following the completion of the Set Ready Training Course run by Screen Suffolk. The two-day course gave me an overview of the Film and TV industry, the type of technology employed, the particular language used, and most importantly, the professional behaviour expected on set. After my two days on Hawksmoor, I feel even better prepared for future work, especially as the feedback from the crew and location manager was that I had fitted in perfectly and did a great job! Phew!
While working on Hawksmoor, I loved how the Lighting and Camera Crews collaborated to create the perfect shot. I was fascinated by the technical aspects of the work the camera crew were doing and even helping to put down the dolly track on the beach was pure joy! So, being part of a film crew in any capacity is my current aim, but I want to find opportunities to train in technical skills, especially in camera work.
I believe I will be a valuable asset to any project due to my strong passion for Film and Television and my recent relevant training and work experience. I am dedicated, reliable, and willing to turn my hand to anything. I enjoy engaging with different individuals, particularly when we are all working together to bring the story to life. As a Location Assistant, I will enjoy keeping the site clean and free from disruption, allowing the cast and crew to focus on filming without concerns about public interference or unwanted objects in the frame. As a camera trainee, I will be very keen to learn and develop my skills, working towards a position as camera operator.

Special Interests

After my Screen Writing MA at Roehampton, I have continued to develop my own scripts for a couple of TV series. I adore high-quality, character driven TV drama and that is what I write. I have been rowing for a year now, It's something that brings me peace and joy. I have ridden horses since I was three years old, learned to drive carriages as well, and worked as a volunteer with birds of prey, giving flying demos and introducing the general public to owls, ravens and eagles. So if there is any Film and TV work that involves them, I am your woman! Apart from that I am interested in any aspect of practical film work!
