I have been working professionally in costume since 2001, covering all aspects from design, construction, standby and supervising teams. I have worked as a freelance designer in film, TV, ballet, opera, theatre, and circus/ physical theatre. Over the past few years I have been working as a costume supervisor on cruise ships for circus artists, singers and dancers with fast turnarounds and tight schedules. I trained in pattern-cutting and construction, and have very strong skills in both. I also trained as an aerial circus artist myself, so am aware of how tough costumes need to be when being used in a physical sense on stage for long seasons. My attention-to-detail is something that stands out, and I take pride in my work. I made hundreds of made-to-measure costumes over the years while I was not seeking contract- work due to parenting commitments, and now my time is once again fully flexible I am available to take on contracts again.
