I am writing to express my interest in pursuing a career in TV/Film/Theatre as a Production Design Assistant/Runner and Costume Trainee. With a background in fashion, costume, and art, I have completed my Master's degree in Costume Design and I am eager to put my skills to work for various productions. Since childhood, I have always been fascinated by the workings of production/costumes that I have seen on TV/Film/Theatre, and I have a passion for creating and living through stories. With a keen eye for historical aspects, I am inclined towards futuristic historically-based drama and other genres. Through my Master's course, I have developed excellent research and organizational skills that make me an ideal candidate. I have experience working on multiple shows behind the scenes and with the production department. Currently, I am working with a mascot costume production company as a Maker. I possess the necessary hand and digital sketching skills, various software knowledge, draping exploration and pattern drafting with different unconventional and conventional materials, and creativity needed to produce costumes for historical or futuristic productions. Moreover, I have conceptual idea creation skills, illustration and storyline writing ability, and can multi-task under stressful environments. With excellent reading comprehension and active listening skills, I can visualize the characters according to the essence of the story. I am also bilingual and possess the skills to create the design according to the needs of the production whilst staying within the budget. I have attached my portfolio and resume for your review.
