Recent graduate and Music Technician with strongorganisational skills and a passion for media and sound.Brings a positive, proactive approach and is seeking soundassistant or entry-level roles in film and television.I have knowledge of the TV production process and I am eager to learn more. I worked on a student film last year as a sound mixer and sound designer in post. I met people who work in the film industry and was intrigued to learn more from them. I also completed a short-course for young people on documentary film making.I have strong research and communication skills. At university, my thesis was an investigative study on how music technology education can be improved for young women. The project involved both secondary sources - from books and previous studies - and primary sources - a set of interviews I wrote questions for, scheduled and conducted myself with fellow female sound engineers, music producers and other similar creative roles. I take pride in my organisational ability. Currently I’m a part-time music technician in a school, I maintain a large stock of instruments and technical equipment. I created a new inventory and hire system (using Microsoft Excel, forms, and labels) so the equipment will be more easily tracked and cared for. At university, I stayed organised through long term projects by creating study plans, and tracked progress using Notion.I work well in team settings and am good at taking initiative. At university, I found and liaised with the music artists, planned pre-production meetings and studio sessions and worked as part of a team to produce and master songs. My experience working in a restaurant means I am used to working as part of a team and I am confident meeting new people.
I have always had a passion for the outdoors. My favourite place growing up was our local forest. Last year, I worked on a research project at Twycross Zoo investigating the effects of high sound levels on animal behaviour and psychology. Being able to utilise my skills in sound technology to help animals was an amazing experience.I have a passion for media of all sorts. I consume media through watching documentaries, collecting CDs and reading magazines and online articles. I produce media through my short films and music production projects.
