I am an emerging lighting trainee with a strong technical background built through professional portrait and commercial photography. I have extensive hands-on experience working with lighting in fast-paced environments, including shaping, controlling and balancing light, working with colour temperature, and managing equipment safely and efficiently. I am physically fit, comfortable lifting and moving heavy kit, and confident working long days on set.I am reliable, calm under pressure, quick to learn, and able to follow instruction accurately. I have a full understanding of set etiquette, a strong eye for detail, and a genuine commitment to developing within the lighting department. I am based in Watford with easy access to London studios such as Leavesden, Elstree and Pinewood, and I am fully available for trainee, floor or lighting assistant roles. I am also open to opportunities across the wider UK.My goal is to progress into a full-time spark position and build a long-term career in film and HETV lighting.
I have a strong interest in lighting for film, both practical and creative, and enjoy developing my technical understanding of modern LED systems, rigging, power distribution and on-set workflows. I also have a background in portrait lighting, creative direction and technical problem solving, which I bring into my work on set. I am particularly interested in working on HETV, feature films and large-scale productions where I can learn from experienced gaffers and sparks.
