Hello I’m Jem Brooks. I'm an aspiring to be Writer and producer. A film graduate with a MA in film and Tv production from London Met film school. And BA (hons) graduate in Acting with part time actors employment and film experience. I've trained as a sound recordist with boom, wireless rode mics with a zoom recorder. Completely dedicated and always willing to go the extra mile.I currently have an H6 essential sound recorder with shotgun rode boom mic. Currently seeking further opportunities in the film and TV industry. The world that is filmmaking whether it involves working 12 hours needs committed, hardworking, punctual filmmakers with exceptional abilities.I am presently a sound recordist for the feature film 'G.O.DTECH' by invisible sword producitons. Directed by David Jeffreys. I was recruited after the previous recordist left. I used my skills and own equipment to record full time all over London and went through a wide variety of learning curves as we filmed indoors and outdoors in all weathers. With noises from traffic, people, planes and even phones I managed to record the best I could. And meticously filing the rushes making it easier for the director to access in post production.I've written a UGC clip on the freedom of speech 'light'. A student short film called 'Crossfire' which was filmed at Met film school. 1 episode of a psychologivcal drama student web series 'In that house'. A charity advert for 'Mercy ships'. A 60 episode vertical coming of age teen drama 'What could have been.' A psychological action/adventure/western/fantasy short film 'inner demons'. And 2 episodes of a proposed period drama tv series that I pitched to the London screenwriters festival 'The Savoy'. And I'm currently writing a comedy crime film 'triple trouble'. These experiences have been beneficial and will enable me to maintain a high standard of service for this prestigious, open and friendly company. I look forward to hearing and working from you.
I have a love/passion for the performing arts, (drama, theatre modern/classical, tv and movies and games. Cartoons/animation.)
