I am a first-year student at the University for the Creative Arts in Maidstone, where I am studying Television Production. This course has given me a broad understanding of both pre- and post-production, videography, and the ethical considerations involved in media. The creative and technical skills I am developing have strengthened my ability to work effectively in a range of production environments.Alongside my studies, I manage the social media accounts for Sutton Athletic Football Club, where I focus on growing engagement through matchday updates, video highlights, and fan-focused content. This role has provided me with valuable experience collaborating with many different people around the club, including the chairman, manager, and supporters. Managing the club’s social media has also pushed me outside my comfort zone, especially when conducting post-match interviews and compiling match statistics, which has greatly improved my confidence and communication skills.I also ran the social media accounts for UNICO’S Mediterranean Bar & Restaurant, where I created visually appealing content that reflected the restaurant’s atmosphere and helped increase customer engagement and bookings during a challenging period. This experience taught me how to manage high-pressure situations and develop a clear understanding of how content can directly support business goals.Additionally, I volunteered at Dartford Football Club for a year, helping with matchday programmes, ticket sales, and fan engagement.Together, these experiences have allowed me to develop strong skills in communication, teamwork, and working under pressure. I am passionate about using these skills in creative and professional environments, and I’m eager to join different production companies as a member of crew.
My special interests include groundhopping, where I visit different non-league football clubs across Kent and reviewing each ground based on atmosphere, food, match quality, and stadium experience. This hobby has taken me to many new places, encouraged me to meet a wide range of people, and deepened my appreciation for sports culture.In addition, I enjoy creating short-form media content, whether it’s producing adverts for Sutton Athletic or short films for my university course. I particularly enjoy the creative aspects involved in planning, producing, and editing content, as well as the feeling of success when I finally finish a video that turns out how I desired.
