Description
I am a multi-faceted individual with a broad range of skills across media production. While it’s difficult to summarise everything I bring to the table, my core strengths lie in visual storytelling, communication, and adaptability under pressure.
I am confident in photography, particularly in portraits, event documentation, and candid “out and about” styles. I enjoy capturing real moments and have an eye for detail and composition. My interest in visual media naturally extends to videography and cinematography. I have experience using a variety of cameras, including the Blackmagic range, and understand how to use lighting, framing, and movement to tell compelling stories.
In live production settings, I am comfortable taking on a variety of roles within a production gallery. I understand the dynamics of working under time constraints and maintaining clear, efficient communication with the wider team. One area I especially thrive in is floor managing. I’ve taken on this role for numerous productions and enjoy the responsibility of coordinating talent and crew, maintaining timing, and keeping things running smoothly on set.
A skill that links all my experiences is strong communication and the ability to think quickly on my feet. Whether it’s behind the camera, on the gallery floor, or during live broadcasts, I’m able to stay calm, adapt, and make sure the team works together effectively.
Beyond production, I’m also active in student radio. I sit on the committee as Participation, Inclusion & Social Officer. In this role, I help mediate discussions, plan and host events, and ensure that the station remains a welcoming, creative space for all. This experience has strengthened my leadership, event planning, and teamwork skills.
Special Interests
One of my favorite things in life is moving my body in ways that feel good and fun. I love swimming—there’s something so peaceful about being in the water. I also enjoy walking, whether it’s a casual stroll through nature or climbing a mountain. Yoga is another practice I really enjoy, especially how it combines movement with mindfulness and makes me feel more connected to my body.
Music is a big part of my life. I love how a song can instantly shift your mood, bring back a memory, or just make a regular moment feel special. Whether I’m listening to something upbeat or calm, music is something I turn to every day. Radio holds a special place in my heart as well. I not only love listening to it, but also enjoy being part of it. There’s something powerful about the way radio connects people, and how just one song or conversation can make someone feel less alone. I love how it's a mix of music, stories, and community.
Technology has always fascinated me. I remember the excitement of getting my first iPod Shuffle—it felt like magic having all that music in one tiny device. That curiosity continued with my first phone, and then my first DSLR camera, which opened up a whole new creative world for me. I’ve always loved exploring how things work and seeing how technology evolves over time.
Something that might seem a bit unusual, but I genuinely love, is researching. Even as a kid, I loved diving deep into topics that interested me. I used to spend hours on websites like USwitch, and would come to my parents with ways they could save money on their phone bill. There’s something satisfying about learning, problem-solving, and then sharing that knowledge to help others.
