I am a passionate location manager and filmmaker based in Dorset.I graduated from Bournemouth University’s TV Production course in 2008 and have been based in the south west ever since. I have had two movies produced and distributed as a writer/director (both shot in Dorset and Hampshire) and this lead to my transition into locations work in 2023.Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of location managing three films that have shot on the south coast and a reality TV series for ITV. I’ve managed films at some of the country’s most iconic locations including Somerley House, Corfe Castle and Bournemouth Beach/Pier plus many others. I have great relationships with numerous locations across the county and have direct access into most of the key landowners and property managers.In 2024 both the BCP film office and Dorset film office utilised my extensive knowlegde of the area to help build and expand their location directories. I photographed and documented over 200 unique locations across the region and if you are looking at a location listing within either film office directory (or within the Filming In England portfolio) then you are more than likely looking at my photos!
I love narrative ficiton be it it feature film or TV drama series. I have a speccifc passion for films with an acute and strong sense of place and believe cinema is at it's best when it endeavours to capture the essence of a region both geographically and culturally.Outside of working in film & TV, I am equally passionate about rewilding and conservation. I have volunteered for numerous wildlife organisations and take great pleasure in working to restore nature in the UK.
