Special Interests
I have a lifelong passion for natural history, wildlife, and environmental storytelling, which drives my work across documentaries and factual series. I am particularly drawn to character-led narratives that explore human and wildlife interactions, conservation, and the natural world’s extraordinary phenomena. I thrive on filming in extreme or challenging environments - from -20°C ice caves in Iceland to +40°C deserts in Namibia - and have extensive experience capturing authentic, high-risk, or technically complex sequences, including aerial, underwater, low-light, and thermal imaging.
I am fascinated by the use of technology in storytelling, having pioneered night vision, motion-control rigs, camera traps, and multi-camera aerial setups to bring unique perspectives to the screen. I enjoy experimenting with lo-fi, social-first content alongside high-end productions, combining creativity with technical innovation to produce engaging, accessible stories.
Mentoring and collaboration are also key interests. I enjoy working with diverse crews, local contributors, and emerging talent, fostering skills while building trust quickly on location. Beyond natural history, I am interested in science communication, environmental education, and interactive content, creating assets that resonate across digital, social, and broadcast platforms.
I am also committed to promoting inclusion and accessibility in production, from lighting for all skin tones to safeguarding practices, ensuring that both teams and contributors feel supported and safe. These interests align with my belief in producing content that is not only visually compelling but ethically responsible, socially impactful, and inspiring to global audiences.
