I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic Filmmaking 1st Class graduate from the Universityof the West of England, actively seeking positions within the film & television industry, creative industries, or in administrative and organisational based roles. My time working as aReceptionist has honed my admin skills and provided invaluable experience in working withthe public. Alongside my technical understanding, I bring a strong organisational skill set toevery project. I strive to foster positive team dynamics and encourage collaborative efforts. With a pragmatic approach and a knack for interpersonal communication, I aim to contributeeffectively to a friendly and thriving workplace environment.Throughout University, I developed a strong passion for Producing and Production Management, and have worked on a diverse range of projects within these roles. These experiences have given me a solid grounding in coordination, organisation, and working under pressure. My main responsibilities in these productions have included meticulous and adaptable budgeting, communicating and negotiating with contributors/clients, scheduling each stage of production from concept to delivery, and ensuring that every member of my crew is on-track and comfortable with their responsibilities. These roles have cemented my conflict resolution and teamwork skills, and have made me proficient in interpersonal communication. In my position as a Customer Service Advisor/Receptionist, I have developed strong communication and client-facing skills through daily interactions with a diverse customer base. I handled phone and email enquiries professionally, resolving issues quickly and clearly. These skills translate directly to film production, where clear communication, problem-solving, and relationship management are key to supporting smooth and efficient workflows.
I'm deeply interested in storytelling and creative expression, which I explore through reading and watching film/tv in my down time. This fuels my understanding of narrative, structure, and visual language - skills that are particularly relevant to working in the film and media industries. I also make time to learn new practical skills, such as playing the piano and working on craft projects, which help me stay focused, patient, and detail-oriented. I have a strong passion for music, and often attend gigs and festivals whenever I can.Spending time outdoors is important to me, either by walking around the city and my local area, or by going further afield to the countryside. I love to camp, hike, wild swim, and generally take advantage of the natural beauty surrounding the South West! I also love to engage with local community events, exhibitions, and workshops - I value social connection and enjoy collaborating with others, both in personal and professional settings.
