Description
Throughout my childhood, film and TV has always captivated me. When watching something, I think that the excitement of being absorbed into another world cannot be compared. In my opinion, this experience needs keeping alive and I would love to be a part of the process. Since graduating from the University of Exeter with a First Class Bachelor of Arts Degree in Drama, I have pursued a wide variety of opportunities. Last year, I was the production designer for the short film titled 'Bollocks', with Phoenix Studios Films. Primarily, I was responsible for securing locations for shoots as well as booking and making a range of props, while keeping to a budget. After this, I was the production designer for the independent web series titled ‘The Fall of Orfeo’. During this, I was responsible for the overall visual aesthetic of each scene and collaborated closely with both the director and director of photography to achieve a cohesive visual style. I am now looking to take the next step in my developing creative career. Through production design, I have enjoyed both the visual element and the organisational part of the process. I wish to not only gain further experience in this area, but also in all other aspects of production in order to expand my knowledge and expertise. I consider myself to be a highly competent individual, who can confidently work well independently and as part of a team. My outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic personality has allowed my passion for theatre production and the community to grow immensely. I have always been fascinated by how the magic of the screen can influence society and as a young, open-minded individual, I believe that film is a powerful platform for inspiring change. Wanting to be a part of this process, I am a hardworking, dependable person and would be extremely grateful for any opportunity you may be able to provide me with.
Special Interests
Making the arts accessible within the community is something I am driven to achieve. I firmly believe that all individuals, children and adults, from different backgrounds and with varying needs should have equal access to these opportunities. I have a diverse range of experiences working with children aged 4 to 18 as a Holiday Camp Manager, a Theatre Education Team Assistant, a Youth Theatre Assistant and a Secondary School TA. I have also worked with disabled adults, assisting with weekly drama groups and leading drama workshops for participants with a range of disabilities, from neurodiverse to physical. From working in a wide spectrum of settings, I understand the positive effect and importance the arts can have on individuals. Inspiring and encouraging creative and open expression is fundamental in allowing individuals to grow.
