Description
I am an initiative-taking, dependable, and perceptive Production Assistant with two feature film credits, experienced in production design, camera, lighting, and promotional content. Currently, I am in my second year of study on a Film Production course at the University for the Creative Arts.
Mainly, I escort the cast to the set, echo the 1st AD during takes, print sides, and prepare the craft table. However, I have gradually branched out to building sets, spotting Gaffers while working at height, operating and refuelling a generator, loading a 35mm film magazine, and acting as props standby.
Problem-solving is one of my greatest strengths. If a department or crew members are lacking essential tools, props, or staff, I am normally one of the first to help, supplying everything from sharpies to background fillers. In fact, during a shopping run on my most recent production, my knowledge of the local area helped a colleague reorient after missing a turn, and my recommendations on the most economical products to buy saved us time and the studio money.
Special Interests
I volunteer at the Watercress Line, an award-winning heritage railway, as part of their Films Unit, where I capture restoration projects, promote upcoming events, and highlight the various roles available. Primarily, I form part of the camera crew for the flagship series on the railway´s YouTube channel, ´In the Loop´, but I also edit short-form content for events, such as the world-famous ´Steam Illuminations´.
From 2016 to 2022, I attended Basingstoke Stage School, where I wrote, directed, and starred in both long and short plays. During my third year, I was presented with the Senior Endeavour, one of the highest commendations offered. I return on show days to act as Stage Manager, communicating between front-of-house and the lighting/sound crew. Additionally, I run the radio mic receivers on most shows, ensuring not only that the cast are heard, but also at the highest possible quality.
