I’m an NRCPD (National Register for Communication Professionals working with Deaf/Deafblind People) registered BSL/English Interpreter specialising in: • Interpreting across various genres including TV, Film, Factual and Scripted. • Voice-over – experienced in whisper tracks for both factual and drama.• Translation – transcripts in post-production. • Script translation with BSL Monitor. • Working with various roles within the crew; lots of experience with BSL Monitors and Script Supervisors, also with AD team, Director, Floor Manager, Camera Assistant - Camera Op, DOP and deaf talent. I have a range of media-based experience including: • Working independently and within a core team of interpreters. • Working in language preference of client (BSL / SSE / English / whispered relay / consecutive / simultaneous)• Working on Deaf Productions – working within a team of interpreters on set, specialising in whisper tracks and working with BSL Monitor.• Working on Hearing productions with deaf cast, crew and language support. • Working in a team led by a deaf Access Coordinator and Interpreting Lead – providing and acting upon feedback to ensure appropriate access give to both hearing and deaf crew members. • Working with deaf and hearing directors, AD team, runners, script supervisors, BSL monitor. • Pre-production – from pitch to script reads, rehearsals to recces and pre-prod meetings • Post-productions – transcripts, guide tracks, ADR’s, working within online and offline edits and Executive Producer viewings.I have an Enhanced DBS check and a member of NRCPD.
