Crew Listing

Description

Having just completed a BAhons in Film Production and being set to graduate shortly, I'm ready to put my three years of studying the industry's operations to the test. During this time I've worked as a HoD in directing, writing, producing, sound and cinematography, giving me a plethora of experience and understanding within each department, and worked in other non-HoD roles throughout my three years.

I aim to be a valuable crew member on every set, always giving 110% from start to finish, I'm flexible in location, hours and in the roles I can do. I aim to become a vital member of the industry and it goes without saying I will treat every production like it's the most important production of my life.

I'm used to working with a new crew on every production and as a result I'm incredibly adaptable when working with new people and extremely quick to get the ball rolling with the team, whether it's other runners or even the members of different departments. I'm also incredibly enthusiastic when it comes to our always changing work environments in film, a reason for why I've become so adaptable not only on set, but also during pre and post-production.

While based in the northwest, I'm flexible and open to working in any part of the country.

The final production I finished at university was a documentary I stared, wrote and directed which blended fiction and documentary together to create a film projected to enter film festivals very shortly, as a result of this and several other credits from my university I've become incredibly versatile when it comes to working on films of different genres and formats.

What sets me apart from everyone else is how my family background has impacted my work-philosophy. I come from a family of emergency service workers and as a result it has given me a philosophy to always follow orders and the requirements of any given role as quickly and efficiently as possible, while always keeping my work to a high standard.

Special Interests

My special interests for what I'd like to see be explored more in film and TV would have to be neurodivergent and LGBT characters being present in a narrative without their disabilities, sexualities, gender identities being the focal point of their character. Instead I would like to see these characters hold other vital roles in the narratives they are a part of that are part of. Being both neurodivergent and part of the LGBT community I’d like to see characters shine for their personalities and actions, rather than their identity.

I have a strong love for narrative dramas especially those that frequently utilise comedy. It would be a dream to work on a comedy film or TV set for myself and hope to have many roles in the genre, eventually one day directing one myself ideally. I have a strong fondness for narratives driven by class and the diversity of people as a whole as these often feel close to home with my family and friends all coming from different backgrounds and classes.

I have a love for seeing unique ways to film scenes and using equipment being used in innovative ways that push film form to the best it can possibly be for the sake of the production’s quality and wish to help better the industries I'd be working in one way or another.

I love the every changing environment of film and TV sets and the collaboration that comes with the jobs in the industry. Every job is different, Every crew is different and most importantly every job is new, never the same as before. As a result I'm more than keen to start officially working in the creative industry.

I'd love to write and direct my own feature film one day and as a result would like to work closely with every role to ensure the highest possible quality of work, and as a result love working on new films, crews and roles.
