I am a second year student at Bournemouth university studying BA (hons) Film, producing several student films in a variety of different roles including working as a director, screenwriter and sound recordist. Student filmmaking has laid the groundwork for my filmmaking skills with the requirements of such a production pushing myself to have to work in all areas of the film production process.
Working in film has been a long held aspiration for myself due to a multitude of reasons. The biggest for me is film’s ability to tell a story, allowing for a great amount of self-expression of my own creativity in the production of a tangible goal. Filmmakers such as David Lynch, Andrei Tarkovsky and Charlie Kaufman have all heavily pushed me to want to create film as my love for their art constantly inspires me, driving me to improve my abilities and find my own unique perspective and worldview.
