My first proper industry job was as a Post-Production Runner at Streamland Media in Soho – the home of blockbuster sound and picture finishing. From day one I was delivering elements to dubbing theatres, cloning drives for editors and colourists, keeping suites spotless, and making sure nothing ever held up a session. That set the bar for everything that followed.I then moved through some of the biggest and best facilities in the UK, each one sharpening me further:Halo Post Production – feature films, high-end scripted drama, and unscriptedThe Farm Group – the UK’s unscripted/reality powerhouseWarner Bros. De Lane Lea– major movies, premium scripted seriesI started picking up floor-running at The National Film and Television School. My very first NFTS set was Motorbird (dir. Cass Virdee, prod. Will Perkins) – still the most challenging shoot I’ve ever done. Motorised rigs, brutal hours, and zero room for error. In the heat of the British summer our shoot day with over 50 extras landed on the hottest day of the year. My job is to guide them in any way possible. I absolutely loved it. Next up was Bikini State: Zombie Apocalypse (Dir. Rex Munson, Prod Sorcha Khan) – a more relaxed shoot with all credit to the production team, twice the pace but twice chaos with more makeup and green screen work heavily evolved. I wrapped my NFTS chapter by stepping up to 3rd Assistant Director on Act It Out (dir. Zoe Pauliks, prod. Anna Nostova), calling background, locking off studios and streets, and keeping the floor running like clockwork. In under 18 months I’ve gone from sixth-form student to having real credits at Warner Bros. De Lane Lea, The Farm, Halo, Streamland Media, and the NFTS – a proper mix of high-pressure post-production and hands-on set experience. I’m 18, I learn ridiculously fast, I never need telling twice, and I will out-work anyone in the room. I’m ready for the next step and I thank you for allowing me the opportunity to gain further experience.
