During my time at university, I developed a deep interest in television production, which led me to a five-week placement as a Runner at Picture Shop Manchester via Screen Manchester.My performance resulted in multiple invitations to return and cover shifts, demonstrating my ability to adapt and excel in a professional post-production environment. I was trusted withfront-of-house responsibilities, which included managing emails, answering calls, and handling digital documentation. I supported the talent and clients that would come in.Additionally, I worked closely with post-producers by booking meeting rooms, printing scripts, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Beyond these responsibilities, I was quickly trusted to open and close the post-house independently. This role required setting up different suites, maintaining the office andkitchens, assisting clients and their visitors with their needs, and ensuring an efficient workflow. These experiences have strengthened my ability with multitasking, working independently, and staying proactive.I have strong verbal and written communication skills and a good knowledge of Google Suite and Office 365. I am friendly and positive; I works confidently within teams as well as independently. My experience at Picture Shop allowed me to build and strengthenrelationships with staff while developing open communication skills. I am creative and have strong problem-solving skills as seen from my work at Joy Peddlers. I was given episodes of an old show to redo the commercial music, it wouldn’t open in premiere Pro, so I figured out a way round using Avid that I have quickly become confident in within the past year of using the software. I also, supported the company’s social media helping put out content.
I am interested in office running and post-production as that is what drew me into television and film. I also would like to try on location shoot, to build new skills and try a different area of this industry.In my personal life I enjoy crochet which has helped develop my skills with patience and it gives me a creative outlet. I also enjoy reading, for the escapism as well as tv and film which has had me hooked since I was little.
