Recent BA (Hons) Costume Interpretation with Design Graduate from The Northern School of Art. Freelance Costumier with skills in; pattern drafting and cutting, cut and construction, corsetry, tailoring, and millinery.My work experience has included; working on Durham University Light Opera Group’s Gala 2024 production of ‘Anything Goes’ as a Costume Designer, designing, making and sourcing the costumes for a 30 plus cast. Additionally, I worked as a Costume Assistant during production week, helping with dressing performers, cleaning and laundering costumes, maintaining and repairing costumes, as well as assisting with quick changes side of stage. I have had the opportunity to complete paid work with Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre during my studies, as well as the National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool to produce a historical costume which was displayed during the Tall Ships Festival 2023.Over the course of my studies I have developed additional skills and training in; leather-work, ageing and distressing, screen printing, embroidery (digital and hand), foam armour making, laser cutting, and 3D printing.
I am interested in video games, films, and animated series which is evident in my portfolio of work. Having produced a collection of hats from video games, and most recently completed a project which reimagined the costumes for characters from ‘Castlevania Nocturne’ an animated series on Netflix.
