I have sixteen years teaching experience at a secondary school, including six years as Head of Department for Film and Media Studies and two further years as Head of a new Media and Computing Faculty. I am keen now to return to the industry having run my own company making short promos and charity fund raising shorts previous to teaching. I have a lot of transferable skills applicable to the industry including staff management, budgeting, creating resources, purchasing, strategic planning, HOF meetings with senior leaderships and two years as staff governor. The role also included production training of GCSE and A Level pupils in film, tv, magazine, photography and music video production. This involved use of equipment in studio settings and our designated photoshop and premiere systems for post production. I am at a point in my career where my children are grown and less dependant, so I am seeing this as an opportunity as my availability is far greater than before and I would be free to travel.
