Hello! I’m Tommy- an AC & Camera Trainee based in Oxfordshire. I’ve had a love of film and tv my whole life and bring a huge desire to learn from every member of the camera department, and assist them to the very best of my abilities. I’m a dedicated, punctual and organised individual who aims to bring a calm, reliable and friendly professionalism to any role or shoot I work on. I studied at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School from 2021-2024, where I specialised as a Camera Assistant and in Post-Production; working across 10 short-films in my final year. On top of that, I have worked as a Videographer for the last 6 years where I have shot Real Estate, Weddings, Music Videos and a range of Corporate Shoots. Since graduating, I have worked as a freelance AC and D.I.T (mostly for Stu Graham- DoP), where I have worked on various commercials and corporate shoots, as well as kit prep days at Pinewood.
Key practical skills and interests:- Extensive experience shooting on Sony Cine-line Cameras with Tilta Nucleus - Experience Focus Pulling / AC on Red Raptor X with DJI Focus Pro - Film Loading Arri 435- Virtual Production Stages & Green Screen Studio Experience - Flown / Assisted on shoots using a range of DJI Drones- Use of Jibs & DJI Gimbals- Kit prep, cleaning, maintenance - Data Management / Backing up - Clapper Loading- Focus Pulling- Lighting - Colour Theory & Cinematography - Very interested in creative framing / camera movement I’m eager to learn more about the different roles of the camera department and would particularly love to learn more about Steadicam operating and Aerial units.
