Description
Doug Kennedy is a VFX Supervisor, On-set VFX Supervisor, and CG Supervisor with over 20 years of hands-on experience in visual effects for film, television, and advertising. He has recently worked on high-profile productions for Amazon Studios, Netflix, Paramount+, and Sky. Known for his calm, collaborative approach and clear communication, Doug works closely with directors, DOPs, art departments, and producers to ensure seamless VFX integration from preproduction through post.
On set, Doug provides fast, practical solutions to unexpected challenges and communicates complex VFX plans clearly to all crew members. He gathers accurate shoot data and is fully equipped with industry-standard tools to support a smooth postproduction workflow. Doug also creates previs for preproduction and postviz for editorial, and liaises with vendors to maintain consistency and quality throughout the VFX pipeline.
Doug is also the founder and Creative Director of Undabo Studios, a UK-based VFX and animation studio founded in 2000. Undabo serves independent filmmakers, agencies, and production houses, delivering high-quality creative solutions across various media formats. In addition to strong CG skills, Doug brings experience in managing artist teams and mentoring talent to deliver on time and on budget.
He has a keen ability to understand client vision and translate it into impactful, technically feasible results, whether for commercials, immersive installations, or feature work. Passionate about storytelling, innovation, and problem-solving, Doug continues to push boundaries in visual effects, combining creative flair with technical precision.
