My name is Toby Milnes and I am a young screenwriter, and I am open to any/all work available in script departments of the British film/tv industry! To me, the art of scriptwriting is a mix of collaboration and expression, and I love interacting and collaborating with people of all diverse backgrounds, ages, and outlooks. I’d make sure to contribute bouncing off ideas, to invest myself within the creative process of a new project, and to be efficient and available for any tasks required. My education at the University of Salford has included high grades in courses such as Scriptwriting, Personal and Independent Film Making, film theory and the main film making courses themselves. I have shown great leadership from directing roles in large group projects and also built up a strong reputation amongst peers and lecturers for my writing. I spent January to April of this year on a study exchange to Humber College in Toronto, Canada in order to continue my film production course in a new location where I would gain a new, insightful learning experience. My grades in screenwriting, production management, directing drama and film and media production were impressive, and my Canadian professors passed high praise back to my home university in Salford. I am also starting an MA in screenwriting at University Arts London in September, which is an amazing opportunity for me to work on my scriptwriting skills and help me craft my own unique voice as a writer.
