As a freelance video editor and videographer, I have gained a broad understanding of the post-production process, and I am now looking to develop my career by taking on entry-level roles in the post-production department.Over the years, I have taught myself how to use Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve since I began making my own content for YouTube from the age of 12. Since then, I discovered my love for filmmaking, and I have now created a variety of different narrative and unscripted short films. This passion led me to pivot career paths; after my studies in psychology at the University of Oxford, I began to pursue a creative career in the Film/TV industry. I am eager to learn industry standard software such as Avid Media Composer and Pro Tools to further develop my technical post-production skills. My current experience will enable me to appropriately assist the post-production team where needed, and I may be able to provide some alternative creative ideas from my background of being a self-taught video editor.
I am particularly interested in the offline edit and in sound design. For me, the offline edit is where the story really comes together for the first time, and the sound design helps to further immerse the audience in the programme.
