I’m a freelance prop maker, currently based in Bristol.I have mostly worked in the field of stop motion and have 2.5 years work experience with Aardman Animations. I have the skill to interpret a design concept and create functional and artistic props with the ability to use various tools and materials, best suited to the brief. I have created an array of work with sculpting, woodworking, moulding and painting techniques and have been certified on various useful machinery, like the laser cutter, bandsaw, vacuum former etc. I am excellent at working as part of a team on big projects, but also enjoy getting lost in the finer details. My work has evolved from painting and drawing but, through working in the industry, I have channelled my creative ability into prop making and set dressing. I am adaptable in both these areas as I enjoy practicing the process and meticulous craft of prop making, as well as the compositional skill and collaboration of set dressing. Moreover, my current ambition is to continue finding innovative ways of bringing props and sets to life and produce exciting and high quality work, while connecting with wonderful and creative people.
