A little about me; I am a makeup artist, hairdresser, and hairstylist with over 14 years experience. I have spent many years educating myself on the latest trends and fashions across hair design and accompanied this with my love for makeup. I trained at DFMA back in 2013 covering a broad range of skills from knotting and bald caps to special effects and theatrical make up. Finding it difficult to establish the best route into the world of media and entertainment, I decided to take a job with MAC whilst extending my client base privately in the beauty and bridal sector. During this time a series of events saw me becoming the practice manager at a very reputable dental practice and the demand of the job role followed by Covid ensured I stayed firmly put for a few too many years However, I have decided it is now time to step out and follow my dreams which has always been to pursue a career as a makeup and hair artist working in TV and Film. Transferable skills I have learnt along the way include being loyal, ensuring client confidentiality and showing compassion in difficult circumstances. I single handily managed to keep two practices running throughout the whole of the pandemic and supported patients and my team mentally. I believe the strength I had to show will prove me a great asset to any team as I can assure you, I am certainly not a flaky character and I work extremely hard. I would love the opportunity to show my skills and be given the chance to take a trainee position on a production that I hope will start my career in this creative industry.
