Creative and highly qualified Musician, Composer and Audio Engineer recently graduated from The University of Staffordshire with a BA (Hons) in Music Production - First Class. I studied Music Production, Mastering and Audio Restoration, Post Production, Sound Design and Foley, Acoustics, Sound Engineering, Studio Practice, Video Production, Composition and Arranging.
I am currently working towards my first film credit as Sound Mixer on Lee Boardman's directorial debut short film with shooting to be completed September 2025, my duties include recording audio (location and studio), previewing and auditioning recorded audio, completing and filing sound reports, delegating tasks to the sound team, assisting talent with wireless mic fitting, uploading and backing up audio files, supervising and instructing film students in location audio, problem solving and working as part of a productive team.
I am familiar with consoles and control surfaces such as SSL, Avid, Audient, API and Newtek TriCaster.
I am also Avid Specialist Certified on Pro Tools.
Very diligent with extensive practical knowledge and experience resulting in high grades and a Royal Television Society Digital Innovation Bursary Scholarship Award.
I am also studying on the RTS Mini MBA in Streaming and Television accredited course.
I am actively seeking a role within the Film and TV Industry within the areas of Sound Recording and Design, Composition, Post Production and Music Editing and am willing to relocate.
with several Film Production and Animation students to compose music for their end of year projects.
I am also studying professional editing software (Adobe Premier Pro, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, FMOD, WWise) in order to further my Post-Production skills with the aim of adding moving image editing to my considerable photography experience. I am actively seeking a new role within the broadcasting industry in London but am happy to travel anywhere within the UK.
Special Interests
I also play guitar to an intermediate standard and am currently learning cello and double bass.
I still build bass guitars occasionally and enjoy designing and making the hardware to fit onto these guitars in order to sculpt tone to best suit the instrument.
I have been playing bass guitar for over 38 years, composing for over 30 years and had my own business designing and building guitars under the name Anarchy UK Guitars for over ten years.
I have achieved airplay on BBC Introducing.
I completed a HND in Urban and Electronic Music Production at Worcester University in 2014 where I won Student of the Year.
I have a NCFE Level 3 qualification in creative photography and worked as a professional photographer for two years in 2012.
I studied Performing Arts at Kidderminster College from 1997 to 2000 where I learned Acting, Stage Management, Set Design and specialised in Music Composition and Performance.
I have worked as a builder and have carpentry/bench joinery skills.
I am currently writing a book which has been called a sitcom by this who have read it so far - about my considerable real life experience as a working class man just trying to make a living in this country - very much a comedy.
