I pick up technical skills quickly and enjoy problem solving due to my background in IT support, and am used to responding to ad-hoc tasks due to my extensive experience working as an admin that supports all areas of a business. Additionally, through working as a runner on shows such as Dickinson’s Real Deal and multiple short film productions, I have experience managing crowds, retrieving refreshments, transporting kit and talent, and generally being on hand to help whenever the need arises, giving me a proactive attitude. Perhaps most importantly I’m known for making a good cup of tea!
Aligning with my desire to work in this industry, I am a massive cinephile who enjoys nothing more than exploring the depths of cinema history and what the artform has already achieved, with a particular fondness for the works of Quentin Tarantino, John Carpenter, Akira Kurosawa, Stanley Kubrick, and more recently Robert Eggers. I'm always writing and directing horror shorts, while also taking on videography projects for local companies, all of which are currently viewable via my YouTube channel Jack Ostle Films.
