I am a highly motivated and experienced Creative Arts Technical Demonstrator in higher education looking to make the trasition to the Art Department for Film & TV. In my current role my main responsibility is supporting students producing work for product and industrial design, SFX, props and scale models for Film, TV and Architecture. My main specialism is digital design and Computer Aided Manufacture (CNC routing, laser cutting and 3D printing). I have gained extensive knowledge and expertise in a wide range of creative disciplines including but not limited to jewellery, woodwork, textiles, ceramics and CAD/CAM. My formal training has provided me with the technical skills necessary to excel in my field, while my hands-on experience has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the practical application of these techniques.My personal interests are in scale miniatures, specifically character buildings, where I can work with intricate details, painting, and textures. This also extends to set design for Film & TV.I also possess strong coordination, administration and IT skills, including proficiency many creative/engineering programmes, the Microsoft suite. I have experience designing, building and maintaining health and safety data management systems via Office 365 and am always looking for new ways to improve processes and streamline operations, and I am adept at working with a range of software and systems to achieve this goal.As a strong team player, I can collaborate effectively with colleagues and students to achieve shared objectives. I have a flexible approach to my work, and I can adapt to new challenges and situations as they arise. I thrive in fast paced environments and am always looking for opportunities to develop my skills and take on new responsibilities.I am a versatile and skilled individual and am committed to providing a high level of support and service to all those I work with.
