Description
As a child of Zimbabwean parents, I can unduly say I am proud of my heritage and thankful for it igniting my enthusiasm within the creative arts industry; even before receiving an offer from the prestigious University of Nottingham I had already accrued a deep hunger to enter artistic fields such as: film, television and media, as a result of my exposure to Zimbabwe and areas of British culture which are teeming with rich and diverse history and arts. Moreover, this industry has always enthralled me, because of the versatility it provides for multi-faceted creatives like me. Additionally, continuing my passion for acting and film during sixth form my desire to be surrounded by other creatives developed and the freedom to not only express creativity through acting but various mediums whether it be, design and production or even writing. Furthermore, working within such a field requires good communication within group spaces and after entering university recently and being cast into a production of Macbeth playing the titular role in my first year, it not only shows my capability but has enhanced my ability to traverse such places of not only great competition but also group teamwork.
