I am a recent postgraduate in Theatre and am hungry to contribute my energy into the scripted side of British Film or HETV. I am actively pursuing floor runner roles with particular aspirations for joining the Assistant Director department. My desire to work in the industry has stemmed from my love of performance which I was able to hone as a student, where I acquired considerable experience in directing and stage-management. Throughout my degree, I managed to gain industry insight as a Supporting Artist, such as my recent work on Happy Prince’s Rivals, where I had frequent contact with the AD and other departments. I also have on set experience on Wolf Hall: The Mirror and The Light, shadowing the Location Manager. This experience made it abundantly clear that the industry, in particular it’s scripted side, is where my passion lies; as an extrovert I thrived in the fast-pace, dynamic environment populated by new faces. I am currently training at The Bottleyard Studios on their Workforce Development Programme for those attempting to break into the industry. Led by industry professionals, I have gained comprehensive knowledge on what is required of a floor runner and how the on set world operates.
For insight into myself on a personal level, it may be of interest to share that I have been a freelance Clown performer, where I create and perform my own content. I believe this reflects my ability to think laterally and underpins my brazen nature; to go on stage and make a fool of myself. During my time as a clown I have worked with Circomedia as well as directed and put on an immersive clowning performance Big Kids. Theatre and clowning has given me skills that are transferrable to those required on set of a TV Drama; working with several departments to produce a collective and creative whole. In my spare time, I can be found checking the South West surf reports no matter the time of year and making my way down to the coast for a surf where I can :)
