I'm a filmmaker based in Manchester with several years of experience operating cameras; over the last year, I've served as a Cinematographer on multiple short films and showreel scene projects. My main experience comes from using BlackMagic Pocket Cinema and CANON DSLR cameras, and whilst I don't have much experience with ARRI or RED cameras, I feel more than comfortable working in the camera department in some capacity, as a 1st AC, camera operator, or trainee. I studied Media Production at Carlisle College and have a BA (Hons) Degree in Film & Media studies from The University of Sunderland. I have experience in a variety of different roles relating to Film & TV production, both in front of and behind the camera. One day I would like to direct a feature film and for me, making short films has been a good way to learn more about all the various aspects of film production. For the last few years, I have been making low-to-no budget shorts with my creative partner, Gwyneth Evans, and in September of last year, we both attended Dead Northern Film Festival, where our psychological horror micro-short, 'FATED', was screened at the City Screen Picturehouse in York as part of the event. The short was met with a positive response and has since played internationally at festivals in New York and North Carolina. In October 2021, I directed a horror/comedy short called 'Bin Man' for the BFI Film Academy North's DIY Horror Challenge. The film was praised for its direction and was shortlisted for a grant by a team of industry panelists from the BFI, HOME Manchester, and Film4. Last year I was nominated for 'Best Director at the MAP21 Film Awards, a film competition operated by The Manchester Actors' Platform, for my work on 'Key to the Unknown', a no-budget fantasy short.
