I am an experienced freelance stylist with a strong creative purpose and eye for detail. I have worked in the photographic + video industry for nearly 18 years. I style anything from food, products, people and interiors + sets. I completed an HND in Spatial Design at art college where I specialised in set design for theatre and TV. I enjoy prop making and set dressing and this is an area I would like to move into within the film industry.I have previously worked as a spray paint artist for an animatronics company, producing 3D characters for retail spaces and tourist attractions, this involved sculpting and casting latex heads, airbrushing make up & features on the faces and wig application. I also spray painted and installed sets for attractions such as Cadbury World and Sea Life Centres in Blackpool and Brighton. I am used to working long hours away on location, and pitching in when needed - all with a healthy dose of good humour!
I have a lot of transferable skills from my career as a photographic stylist - an eye for detail, continuity and creating engaging visuals!Food & drink styling is my area of expertise, particularly cake decorating where I have created elaborate cakes for major retailers and private clients and even live TV at QVC.I have styled models and sets for TV adverts and am equally happy getting my hands dirty in a workshop environment.
