I am a filmmaking graduate who has been working freelance for the past 2 years as a camera operator/editor.Previous clients I have worked for include ITN, as lead editor for a feature documentary about Jack The Ripper, Sky as an editor & self-shooting camera op, meaning I was solely responsible for the camera equipment, direction & overall quality of the footage.My experience with SKY was a lot of pressure to begin with and I felt like I threw myself in the deep end immediately, but the knowledge & confidence I have gained from that experience has been invaluable. Not just working with the kit, but also (and equally as important) working with collaborators and contributors who aren't used to being in front of camera.I also have a good amount of experience in live events, which includes festivals such as A New Day Fest in Faversham and Quintessentially British Events summer shows.Shooting in uncontrolled environments has helped develop my ability to plan ahead, being very deliberate with my equipment choice, anticipating what may go wrong depending on the weather & other environmental factors and communicating with event organisers to ensure that all of our needs are met on the day. It has also developed my eye for a good shot in challenging conditions and the importance of shooting as much a possible throughout the day in order to help the edit.Equipment I currently own includes:Blackmagic PCC4kCanon 5d Mark ivCanon 24-105 f/4 lensSigma 14mm wide angle T/2.8Rode NTG-5 microphoneI am committed, proactive, communicative, organised and always willing to take on a new challenge.
