As a crowd costumer for ten years in the film industry, I have a passion for the creative aspects offilm and television, particularly towards costume making and set design. With my work experienceI have mainly been involved in historical and fantasy settings and I am looking to expand myexperience to other genres and build my current skills as well as learning new ones, and furtherdevelop myself as a costumer.I have worked with stunt teams, dressing and fitting equipment such as pull rigs, armour pads for hits and falls, and VFX fixtures such as markers for arrow hits as well as the same for horse riders.Used historical knowledge and sources to advise on the correct use of equipment and historicalwear, with my main skills involving medieval, Roman and second world war historicalbackgrounds.Working for myself in the field of props making and armour for the use of film and television.Currently building armour sets for numerous historical periods by using sculpting, printing andcasting techniques.
I have worked both a full time job and self-employed in my spare time as a commission painter. I paint models for customers which means working to deadlines despite my busy schedule as well as maintaining a high attention to detail to meet the demands of the customer. I will also fit this work around my main working life in my spare time and managing time effectively.I have a keen interest in military history, researching in my spare time on life and warfare. This has also lead me on to historical re-enactment and work within the film industry and has helped my confidence in speaking in public as well as learning from more experienced persons. My main passion is medieval history and i attend public events to teach about medieval life and warfare.It is also quite an active hobby requiring physical fitness for lengthy battles and posing for public all day in full armour and also being able to look after crowds of persons for film work on set. I have an interest in motorcycles. I have over the years learned how to maintain and troubleshoot most problems that have occurred in my ten years of riding, picking up mechanical and electrical knowledge.
