“You’re the best we couldn’t have done it without you”“Honestly the best runner we’ve ever seen”“Crikey, that’s the best cup of tea I’ve had in years”Having graduated from Durham University with a BA in German and Spanish in 2022, I have spent the last two years in Paris completing a Masters in Creative Writing and then teaching English at the Sorbonne Université. Upon my return to the UK, I landed my first job as a Production Assistant on the set of a short film, and loved every second of it. Having been described as hardworking, unflappable, highly organised and motivated, as well as the best runner they’ve ever worked with, I have taken the decision to pursue a career in film production, a dream which I have somewhat neglected over the past two years, but am thrilled to have rediscovered the spark, energy, drive and passion for filmmaking that was always there.
I speak four languages, am classically trained to grade 8 on several instruments, played rugby semi-professionally in Spain and wrote my undergraduate dissertation on the role surrealist cinema played in sexual and political revolutionary movements within the Iberian Peninsula from the 1950s to the 1980s. I have taught music composition, English, German and Spanish in a variety of languages alongside my work at the Sorbonne, and completed a short film while at Durham University in the role of DOP, a continuation of my love for photography and the visual arts. In my free time, I read, write, play and compose music, write short stories and poetry, draw, play rugby (amongst other team sports) and go to pub quizzes.
