Through both education and production experience, I have developed a broad range of skills across the filmmaking discipline. My reliability and devoted work ethic have allowed me to exercise my creative skill set in innovative ways. I wish to use these skills to further my professional experience in the film and television industries as a Camera Assistant.Skills: ● Setting up Sony Broadcast and Cinema cameras on tripods and cabling for them and the Director’s monitor, while keeping cables neat and matted to prevent trip hazards, allowing them to be quickly coiled for future setups. ● Laying tracks in a variety of locations and smoothly gripping the dolly to produce dynamic camerawork. ● Rigging a Steadicam and a wireless focus unit, accurately pulling focus depending on distances and lens sizes, and placing marks down for actors accordingly. ● Listening thoroughly to Directors and DOPs, to prepare for future camera setups in advance. ● Accurately writing scene information on the clapperboard and understanding lens sizes so that the board may be quickly positioned in frame for each new take. ● Manually handling kit by storing and obtaining it from the camera vans in a time efficient yet safe manner.
