Description

Camera and Drone Operator with experience across factual, documentary, and heritage projects, including natural history and public-facing work.

I have a background in both media production and the sciences, with experience working in-house for natural history and other heritage organisations. This has influenced how I work on set and in the field — curious, practical, and hands-on in real-world problem solving.

I’m a Bournemouth University graduate with a First-Class Honours degree in Media Production, where I developed a strong technical grounding in cinematography and contemporary content production. Since then, I’ve worked across print, digital, and broadcast platforms, collaborating with national and international press and contributing to television programmes such as Escape to the Country, Antiques Road Trip, and Attenborough and the Giant Sea Monster. Alongside broadcast work, I’ve delivered visual content that supports visitor experience and engagement, including specialist palaeontological imaging using techniques such as photogrammetry, focus stacking, and advanced lighting.

As a credited Camera Operator on Attenborough and the Giant Sea Monster, I worked in a remote and challenging cliffside environment, balancing excavation work with the capture of broadcast-quality camera and drone footage while operating on ropes. Alongside this, I independently produced, filmed, and edited the documentary Pliosaurus – The Discovery of a Monster, which premiered at the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival in 2024.

Special Interests

I regularly work with Sony and Canon mirrorless and DSLR systems, as well as Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras, and am familiar with Canon and Sony cinema cameras. I also have some experience operating RED and Panasonic systems.

I have a solid working knowledge of location sound and audio post-production, with experience using a range of audio hardware and DAWs where required.

Alongside professional use of cinematic drones, I am actively training in FPV flight using the DJI FPV. I hold an A2 CofC, with further certification planned.

I have experience working on ropes and in remote or challenging locations.

I hold a full clean Category A and B driving licence, with experience driving 3.5t vehicles.
