I have worked in live event production for 5 years, working on some of the largest global festivals such as Edinburgh Fringe, Edinburgh's Hogmanay, Perth Fringe World and Adelaide Fringe. As a Project Coordinator for Underbelly, I was responsible for coordinating a nationwide youth project leading up to Edinburgh's Hogmanay. I recruited 30 volunteers and artists and coordinated 15 day long workshops across Scotland to produce 15 incredible sculptures for the festival I have a strong background in logistical and administrative functions having had to organised accommodation, transport, venues and catering for all these workshops. In addition I am very competent using administrative programmes such as Microsoft Office to manage budgets and schedules for my projects. In addition to project managing at Underbelly, I worked as a production runner at the Edinburgh Fringe. I was responsible for organising staffing schedules, sourcing props and generally supporting the programming team in producing the festival. Working at the Fringe World Festival I was an internal producer tasked with managing a major site, producing a regional tour show, and programming entertainment at the artist bar. I was constantly having to work on multiple tasks, and being pulled in different directions by colleagues and managers. I learnt to manage my time very effectively and prioritise tasks to ensure I kept all my responsibilities on track. I have worked in stage management at the London Wonderground, managing the 1000-seater venue and overseeing the two shows there. I have also worked in the physical production of shows as I have a level 2 diploma in site carpentry. I have worked on shows for the National Youth Theatre as well as managed the build of the Juliet and Romeo set at the Chelsea Theatre. Though I have only briefly worked in tv - I had a stint on the STV chat show The Hour in 2011 - I have had pretty much every production job you can have in live events - hoping to join screen world.
